Day 1 :

ARRIVAL IN DEHRADUN

• This is the reporting day for your Chardham Heli Yatra. Dehradun serves as the base for both the start and end of your journey.
• An overnight stay at a premium hotel in Dehradun is arranged by Himalayan Heli, inclusive of dinner and breakfast — allowing you to relax and prepare for the days ahead.
• Our team will pick you up from Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand as per your arrival schedule.
• A mandatory tour briefing will be conducted at 7:00 PM, where important details will be shared, duffel bags for the yatra will be distributed, and body weights will be recorded (essential for flight balance & planning).
• Please ensure your attendance at the briefing.

Day 2 :

YAMUNOTRI DHAM

Sahastradhara – Kharsali

06:30 Hrs: Check-out from Dehradun hotel
07:30 Hrs: Departure from Sahastradhara Helidrome
08:00 Hrs: Arrival at Kharsali Helipad
Begin your sacred journey with an early morning check-out. You’ll be transferred to the helidrome by our team.
• Upon arrival at Kharsali – Explore India Tours’ dedicated heli-base – you’ll be welcomed by our ground crew and escorted to your hotel nearby.
• After check-in, proceed for Yamunotri Darshan as early as possible to avoid rush.
Yamunotri trek: 6 km one-way (Palki/Pony included, subject to availability)
duration: 5.5 hours round-trip
• Local sightseeing: Yamunotri Hot Springs, Yamuna Mata Temple, Shani Temple

Note: Kharsali is relatively underdeveloped; expect basic accommodation and facilities.

Day 3 :

GANGOTRI DHAM

Kharsali – Jhalla/Harsil

08:00 Hrs: Departure from Kharsali
08:30 Hrs: Arrival at Jhalla Helipad
After breakfast, check-out and board your flight to Harsil, one of the most scenic stops of the yatra, known for its apple orchards and natural beauty.
• On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Harsil.
• Proceed for Gangotri Darshan before or after lunch, depending on temple rush.
Distance to temple: 25 km (approx. 50-minute drive)
Darshan duration: 3.5 hours round-trip
Local sightseeing: Bagodi Village, Laxmi Narayan Temple, and serene nature walks.

Day 4 :

KEDARNATH DHAM

Harsil – Sersi – Kedarnath (by shuttle)

08:30 Hrs: Departure from Jhalla
09:00 Hrs: Arrival at Sersi
After breakfast and check-out, board your flight to Sersi, Explore India Tours’ oldest heli-base.
• From Sersi, a shuttle flight to Kedarnath (approx. 7 minutes) will take you to the temple.
Darshan duration: Approx. 2 hours
Please note: Due to limited aircraft capacity, passengers may fly on different shuttles.
• Optional sightseeing (time & weather permitting): Triyuginarayan Temple, site of Lord Shiva and Parvati’s celestial wedding.

Day 5 :

BADRINATH DHAM

Sersi – Badrinath

06:00 Hrs: Departure from Sersi
06:30 Hrs: Arrival at Badrinath
Early morning check-out (by 5:00–5:30 AM) followed by your flight to Badrinath.
• After hotel check-in and breakfast, proceed for darshan and local visits as per crowd conditions.
Darshan time: Approx. 1–1.5 hours
Local sightseeing: Mana Village – India’s last inhabited village near the Indo-China border.
• Optional: Swaran/Chandi Aarti (on direct payment basis) – available upon prior request. Additional vehicle charges apply.

Day 6 :

RETURN TO DEHRADUN

Badrinath – Sahastradhara

06:30 Hrs: Departure from Badrinath
07:30 Hrs: Arrival at Sahastradhara
Early check-out and departure from Badrinath.
• On arrival at Sahastradhara, our team will receive you and escort you to the hotel in Dehradun to collect your luggage.
• After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport/railway station for your onward journey.
• This marks the completion of your soul-stirring Chardham Yatra.

Chardham Yatra Tour Guidelines

VIP Darshans are subject to the orders issued by the temple authorities and State government.
In view of our helicopters’ weight-carrying capacity, Himalayan Heli reserves the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.
FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs. However, Himalayan Heli reserves the right to change/postpone the timings of flying one day prior, subject to weather/force majeure reasons.
Passengers must submit their correct weights at the time of booking. Submitting incorrect weights may lead to passengers being debarred from boarding without any refunds.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. It Is not permitted to carry suitcases or big travel bags in the helicopter; therefore, duffle bags will be provided by our team to all passengers on the day of arrival.
Arrival/departure details must be provided at the time of booking so that we can smoothly operate the tour.
Passengers should book Dehradun arrival flights reaching around 02:00 pm, or earlier.
Kedarnath shuttle service: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath ji in a shuttle services flight. And it is likely that passengers travelling together may not be accommodated on the same flight.
Any sudden increase in taxes/levy by the State Government or the temple authorities, will be borne by the passengers.
If online yatra registration will be compulsory, then passengers will have to do the same prior to travel.
Comfortable clothing such as tracksuits or Kurtas are advised on the tour. As for shoes, one should carry sports or trekking shoes.
Himalayan Heli has its own crew at all the Dhams. For assistance, they will be with the passengers always.
Infants below 2 years (Max 12 kg weight) are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.
In case an infant is on board, the weight of the infant will reduce the total permissible weight of that respective group.
Any donations, tips, pitthu, extra porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
Airport transfers shall be provided on the arrival day at Dehradun, and on the last day of our tour.
Airport transfer shall be provided on the arrival day or maximum one day prior to the arrival day, and the same would be applicable for the drop at Dehradun Airport. Only 01 transfer would be provided for each side.
Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL, Airtel & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly.
All temples in Chardham sector are located at a high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry warm clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.
For the senior citizens and people with medical issues are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

All passengers must adhere to prevailing government-mandated COVID-19 protocols. Failure to comply will result in denial of boarding without any refund.

HELICOPTER SEATING & WEIGHT POLICY

Seating Capacity: 6 passengers per helicopter.
Weight Limit: The total permissible payload (excluding baggage) is 450 kg. Boarding will be based on weight and weather conditions, as decided by the pilot.
Weight Declaration: Passengers must declare their accurate body weight at the time of booking. Inaccurate declarations may result in cancellation without refund.

OVERWEIGHT CHARGES

Passengers weighing above 75 kg will be subject to an additional charge of ₹2,000/kg.
Excess weight is calculated on the cumulative permissible weight (75 kg x No. of Passengers). Charges will be collected before boarding.

Kindly consider your weight along with clothing and shoes when declaring.

ARRIVAL IN DEHRADUN

This is a 5N/6D tour, and the flying begins on Day 2. All passengers must report to Dehradun on Day 1.

FORCE MAJEURE & WEATHER DISRUPTIONS

Flight operations in hilly areas are susceptible to weather changes and other uncontrollable factors like:

Technical issues, Air Force NOTAMs, VVIP movements
Delay in clearances, crew illness, or late reporting by passengers
Passengers must be prepared for delays or changes due to such situations.

ID DOCUMENTATION

Indian citizens must submit Aadhar Card copies.
Foreign nationals must share passport details.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

Hotel List (subject to change):

Dehradun: Fairfield by Marriott or equivalent (MAP plan)
Kharsali: Hotel Holy Yamuna or equivalent (AP plan)
Harsil: Harsil Retreat or equivalent (AP plan)
Sersi: Ghughuti Resort or equivalent (AP plan)
Badrinath: Vijay Lords or equivalent (AP plan)

Room Sharing:

Double/triple occupancy only.
Single room supplement: ₹45,000/person (incl. taxes).

Hotels in the Dham regions are basic but handpicked for comfort.

ADDITIONAL DAY RECOMMENDED

Passengers are advised to keep one extra day after the scheduled tour, in case of delays due to weather or other unforeseen events.

OPTIONAL SERVICES

Services outside the tour inclusion list will incur additional charges and must be confirmed at booking.

KEDARNATH OVERNIGHT STAY

Stay at Kedarnath Top can be arranged upon request, but is not recommended due to high altitude and limited facilities (no hot water/heaters/medical support).

MEDICAL ADVISORY

Passengers should consult a doctor before the tour, especially those with pre-existing health conditions.

Emergency helicopter evacuation is chargeable at ₹1,20,000/hr + royalties, landing charges & GST.

LEGAL FRAMEWORK

The journey is governed under the Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and subsequent notifications. Liability for injury or baggage loss is limited as per the act.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

We reserve the right to cancel boarding for passengers who are unfit, abusive, intoxicated, or deemed unsafe to fly — without refund.

VIP EXCLUSION POLICY

The following dignitaries are not permitted for this tour:

BOOKING RESCHEDULING

Rescheduling 28+ days before travel: Allowed with 10% fee.
Within 28 days: Booking treated as canceled, subject to cancellation policy.

PAYMENT TERMS

50% advance required at booking; balance due 14 days prior to travel.
Tour will be denied if full payment is not received.
Card payments incur:
- 5% fee (Credit/Debit)
- 5% fee (Amex/Foreign cards)

WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE REFUNDS

Refund for incomplete tours due to force majeure will be based on:

Yamunotri (Kharsali): 20% minus ₹30,000
Gangotri (Jhalla): 25% minus ₹30,000
Kedarnath (Sersi): 25% minus ₹30,000
Badrinath: 30% minus ₹30,000
Full tour cancellation: Refund minus ₹30,000

Additional services or unutilized portions are non-refundable.

COVID-RELATED CANCELLATIONS

In case of:

Positive COVID test
Government-imposed lockdowns
Emergency restrictions

No refund will be issued. However, a Credit Voucher valid for 1 year will be provided. It can be transferred to family/friends for any helicopter tour.

IMPORTANT WEATHER CLAUSES

If the tour doesn’t begin from Dehradun due to weather: Full refund as per policy.
If the tour begins but is interrupted: Revised plan may be offered, without extending the trip.
Additional charges apply for extensions or extra helicopter flying.
Passengers stuck at Kedarnath will bear their own accommodation cost.
Extra hotel nights due to weather are chargeable directly by passengers.
Himalayan Heli gives priority to fresh passengers over backlogs.

Windy conditions in Harsil Valley may impact flights post noon.

TAXES & LEVIES

Any post-booking hike in taxes or government levies will be chargeable and must be cleared before the trip.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

All disputes will be governed by the laws under the Delhi Jurisdiction.

By booking this package, the passenger acknowledges and agrees to abide by all the terms and conditions stated above.
